From its humble beginnings as a guesthouse, the Swiss Lodge has flourished into a European-style hotel popular with business travelers working in nearby Silom district.  However, its immaculate rooms, full-range of services, and convenient location make it an equally appealing choice for people visiting on leisure.  Located next to the BNH Hospital on Convent Road, the Swiss Lodge is a mid-sized hotel. The lobby is compact with just a couple couches set near the bay windows looking out to the sidewalk that runs in front of the hotel.  Staff are friendly and efficient, and express check-in/out service makes interactions with reception even simpler.   There are four classes of room available – superior, deluxe, suite, and VIP.  All rooms are bright and clean with ample space to stow large suitcases.  The furniture is made from solid wood, some of it teak, and includes a writing desk, coffee table, and bedside tables.  Each room is fully equipped with all the conveniences of home including a mini-fridge, telephone, TV with satellite channels, and complimentary Internet access.  Superior rooms have the option of 1 double or 2 twin beds, while the higher classes of rooms have king-sized beds.  Additionally, deluxe rooms and above have DVD players and coffee makers with Starbucks beans instead of instant coffee.  The bathrooms are immaculately clean with cream-colored marble tiles, shower/bathtub combinations, big mirrors, and a basket of shampoos and soaps.  On-site facilities include a business center, library with English novels and newspapers, plus a pool terrace where you can take a dip and order a drink.  Rates include breakfast and guests start their day with a hearty American-style buffet breakfast at Café Swiss which also serves classic European and Thai fare for lunch or dinner.
